By purchasing your own ultrasound system from MendMeShop, you are on the road to safe and effective portable pain relief and better quality of life. We recommend that you consult your physician or physical therapy practitioner before using ultrasound or any medical device.

Read all the instructions for use before using your ultrasound unit including all the warnings and contraindications. A handy ultrasound treatment guide is included with your device.

Warnings for use:

1. Never use ultrasound unit for treatment without using the conductive gel.
2. Never clean the unit with water or submerge it under water.
3. Never use ultrasound on children under the age of 16 without the recommendation/supervision of a physician or therapist.

The use of Ultrasound is NOT recommended:

1. Over organs (stomach, liver, lungs, spleen, bowels, heart, kidneys)
2. Over the pelvis, abdomen and lumbar (lower back) region in pregnant or potentially pregnant females.
3. Over highly ultrasound-sensitive organs (eyes, ears, ovaries, testicles, brain, spinal cord)
4. Over mucous membranes (mouth, nose, rectum/anus, vagina)
5. On patients with pace-makers on patients with phlebitis, deep venous thromboses
6. On patients with haemophilia
7. On patients with spina bifida or surgical laminectomies of the spine
8. On tissue and/or bone with active infection
9. Over areas suspected to be cancerous or pre-cancerous
10. Over de-sensitized (numb, hypoaesthesia) areas of the skin (eg. diabetic neuropathy)
11. Over open sores or lesions
12. In the front of the upper neck (thyroid region)
