Q – What should I feel?

A – You really shouldn¹t feel or hear much using the ultrasound device, the device is emitting sound waves; these are very difficult for a human to discern. You may feel slight heat or hear a quiet hum coming from the device. If you do feel heat or discomfort, apply more gel, increase the treatment area and the movement of the tranducer head.
You may feel a slight cooling or warming sensation on the skin from the Ultrasound Gel ­ this is normal. If the treatment area becomes red or irritated, you may be having a reaction to one of the ingredients in the gel ­ MendMeShop sells hypoallergenic gel for allergy sufferers.

Q - Can I use water or oil or lotion instead of gel with my Ultrasound?

A - MendMeShop Gel is specially made to work with your Ultrasound Device. Use of any other product with your Ultrasound is not recommended and may affect the performance of your device or can even damage the sound head. MendMeShop Gel is hyper-ionic so it conducts the ultrasound waves better than any other medium. Using any other medium will void your Ultrasound warranty.

Q – How long before I feel improvement?

A – You may feel some improvement from ultrasound therapy shortly after beginning treatment when used as directed; however, it typically will take about 2-3 weeks of continuous therapy to start noticing the benefits of ultrasound. Ultrasound is a cumulative therapy which means, the more you use it the more you will notice the therapeutic benefits. Follow the treatment protocol recommended in this guide and it won¹t take long for you to feel some improvement.

Q – Can I use this device for wrinkles and crow¹s feet? What about cellulite?

A – No, ultrasound devices, like the HT-901, deliver ultrasound at frequency of 1 MHz are not to be used to treat cosmetic conditions such as wrinkles and crow's feet. This frequency can penetrate soft tissue over 3 inches (8 cm) deep and is intended to be used to treat joint and muscle pain. This device is not to be used over the face or head. Cosmetic and cellulite conditions are typically treated with ultrasound devices delivering ultrasound at 3-5 MHz ­ these devices do not penetrate as deep.

Q – Can my 12 year old son use Ultrasound?

A – Use of ultrasound is not recommended on children under the age of 18 unless on the advice of a physician.
